About the Ride: Ride Day2008 NYC Century Start times*Please arrive 30 minutes before your start time for rider check-in (for riders without bibs) and day-of event registration
What to Bring Check List
Rest StopsWe encourage you to stop and relax and refuel at two to five scenic rest stops, depending on your route. Remember to drink before you get thirsty! Have your bib visible so we know that you are a registered rider. Please note that you must be at a Rest Stop before its closing time in order to ensure access to food and water. Closing Times
Marshalls & MedicsMarshals & SweepRiding marshals are volunteers who are there to help you during the ride. You'll be able to identify them by their orange vests. You should feel free to ask a marshal to help you at any point. It is important for your safety that you follow their direction at key intersections and rest stops. One sweep team will cover the whole route. If the Sweep catches up to you, you'll need to keep up in order to reach the rest stops before they close. If you find that you must leave the Century early, locate the nearest subway. If you need medical attention, a marshal can call for help or you can call 911. MedicsFor our medical coverage, we rely on Volunteer Ambulance Corps. They are community ambulance corps and so they may be called from their Century posts to attend to a call in their district. Because of this, you should always call 911 first to get the-fastest response to a medical emergency. |
